  • Start with walking. Log 2 miles per day. Put the baby in his or her stroller and have at it! After having a baby your body (core) is very weak and needs time to heal. Walking will let you burn fat and keep your heart and body healthy. Then you do planks to strengthen your core musculature again. Then reverse crunches to strengthen the lower abdominal fibres. Do some light dumb bell work after about 8 weeks. Follow doctor's orders though as some women heal faster than others. A cesearian would of course change this timeframe completely.
