No, but I own a coffee shop and havde become friends with a couple of the regulars :o) It is easy when you see them every day and you get to chatting. You find you have stuff in common and you get to hear about their daily lives.

Yes, back when I lived in NH. I was a "regular" at the Stormy Monday's Blues Club, which was kind of a cool feeling. Whenever I'd come in, the bartender, Ruth, would always have a beer ready for me. We ended up going out a couple of times, but I kind of lost interest once I found out that she was a massive pothead.

I live a pretty big town. But, we have a small hardware store in a strip mall. I am friendly with one of the clerks who has been there for about 17 years. Don't go there much but we talk about more than hardware sometimes. Also, friendly with our mailman. If I meet him somewhere else I hardly know him because he is upright (not in the mail vehcile) and outside of familiar territory.
