  • In this country, if anyone thinks they can lay claim to your finances through legal means, you can be sure someone will attempt to do so. To protect yourself from such actions, you need to include a disclaimer (A statement denying responsibility for a particular action) at the beginning of your book, clearly stating that the material is intended for self-defense purposes only, and that the author assumes no responsibility for misuse of the information provided for purposes which it was not intended. You may want to look into the subject of disclaimers, and their uses as a defensive mechanism.
  • Sooner or later, someone will. The publisher will have knowledge about what is suable and what isn't, so the editor will know what to leave out or what disclaimers or magic language to add. If you are self-publishing, you may wish to pay an attorney to tell you these details.

  • someone would sue you pretty soon......... in school we wee just talking about how someone poured mcdonalds coffee on themselves to start a law suit...and then my teacher told us how someone bought a knife set and stabbed themselves to start a suit... why would u write a book like that anyway?
  • Don't worry about it. You cannot be held liable if someone else commits battery after reading your book. You would have to do something wrong to be held liable. Writing a how-to book is not a "wrong" in America.
