When I worked as a machinist, we were not allowed to use electrical extension cords for anything. Just one of many OSHA rules governing machine shop safety.

Oh, you bet. I work for a biotech manufacturer. Also lots of cGMP standards.

Yes, if you get hurt don't complain and we'll fire you.

I'm a paramedic by trade and have my own bus. I teach Life Support, Emergency Management, Health & Safety & SHE Rep - It's my job to prepare a company for an audit. The OHSA Act is pretty evasive if you're not accustomed to that sort of jargon and detail. It's nice ti say that I know the Act intimately and go as far as finding a couple of 'loopholes' too.

Not many; just a few "Eye protection required" signs and a couple of places where other special protection is required. Oddly, our machine shop (the department where I work) measures below the decibel limit for a "Hearing Protection required" sign by about 5 dB most of the time, though plugs and muffs are available.

Sure. Everything from the MSDS catalog required, safety meetings, rules about extension cords, blocking aisles, stacking shelves, lighting, fire exits and fire extinguishers.

Yes, if you get hurt on the job, please don't tell OSHA
