I used to straighten my girlfriends hair all the time. She said I did it better than the hair salon she goes to. All I ever did was put a small amount of hair in the straightener, not a bunch otherwise its much harder to straighten. Then I hold the iron closed and count the seconds up to 10, then move the iron down, and repeat the process. She loves how I get it all straight, except she likes how I get the ends to flip up. So just make sure you aren't trying to straighten too much hair at once, and be patient it takes a while to do it all perfect.

Start with a good shampoo and conditioner. Then use a product designed for straightening hair. The Paul Mitchell Super Skinny line is great, it contains products that help your hair dry quicker. Blow dry your hair using a paddle brush and a round brush to pull the hair straight. Then go through with a flat iron from root to end. Sectioning out your hair into 4 quadrants, then pulling down 1 inch sections is helpful. Finish with a shine serum or shine spray. Your blow out should last at least 2 days. Don't over heat style your hair or it will get extremely dry.

*Shampoo the hair and condition it as normal. *Apply serum to hair. Amount depends on type and length of hair. *Spread serum in palms and rub into hair, smoothing the hair along its length. *Use a hair dryer and paddle brush and start drying the hair encouraging straightness by brushing through the hair as you dry. Set the hairdryers temperature to medium until hair is completely dry. *Already hair will show signs of straightening but is still frizzy and dry and lacks shine.(Straightness would not last) *With medium or long hair use clips to separate hair so that you can concentrate on one section at a time. *Starting at the front with a small section of hair use you straightener down the length is a swift smooth motion. *Repeat this step on the next section and continue using small sections right round the head. *Always run the straightener from top, down the hairs length and continue until straightener runs off the hair at the end and hair falls away. Do not stop at any point and try to keep the sweep even and consistent. *On larger sections you may need to repeat the run with the straightener 2-3 times. *Once the majority of hair has been straightened finish the style by blending at the ends. With no clips run the straightener close to the ends and off the ends of the hair. This will stop separation that might occur when using sectioning clips. You should be left with sleek shiny frizz free straight hair which should last a long time.

the thing i feel is most important iss always use protection against heat on your hair. IF its a spray or a cream use it!! unless you want alot of your hair burt to a crisp.. oh and dont turn ur straitner all the way up
