  • Well, a reasonable guess would be that the TV set has detected that you have a cable plugged in there, so it tries to lock onto the signals in the S-Video inputs but doesn't find a valid signal to lock onto. In the case of having the PC connected, you need to run the PC in a resolution that's compatible with the TV - typically 640x480 interlaced (NTSC). If you have the computer running at another resolution, the TV won't be able to lock onto the signal.
  • Thanks Yeroca, I am finally able to see my desktop on the TV monitor, but when I play a DVD on the laptop, I still see only the desktop image on the TV screen. Do I have to make any additional configuration changes to watch a movie on the TV?
