Who is better, Dante or Cloud?

Cloud, he can take down ANYTHING. In a fight Cloud verses Danté Cloud would kick Dantés ass sword style and he'd then use some materia or smash Dantés face with a motorcycle full speed to the face

While I confess I don't really know all of the moves of Dante, I think that Cloud could at least give Dante a run for his money with omnislash.

I don't know anything about Dante, but Cloud did beat the crap out of a god, not to mention some ancient monsters that slept within the Earth for centuries and only rise to defend it against the most devastating catastrophes. Also, he dresses like a women and enjoys wrecking things, can't get much more crazy than that. :/ Either way I wouldn't mess with someone who can conjure beasts of Norse mythology at will. Or swing a three ton sword over his head like a helicopter.

I am relativly new to FF--I've only played XII. My 15-year-old granddaughter is into VIII, X, and the Dirge of Cerberus--I know her favorite is Vincent Valentine, then Cloud. Who is Dante ?

well...honestly dante is a devil on earth but he can technically die. he does have tons of good moves and weapons but cloud has the best sword techniques i've ever seen and he is powerful due to being exposed to mako. and yes materia would help....i think cloud would win it.
