Two barrels of water. Are the water levels equal or slightly different? How do you find out without using anything to measure the levels?

you could look inside if the tops were open. you could bang on the sides to get a different sound. if they had different sounds then the levels would be different.

well,I would start pouring the equal amount of water one by one into both the barrels. the barrel from which water spill out first will be having the higher water level.
