  • Yes and no. I think it shows that they can be caught but it also shows them how to be more careful to avoid being caught. Like not leaving prints, or shoe marks, and to wash clothing, and if they find blood just to say you spilt a pot of potatoes. SO i think it deters crime but also helps them escape a little.
  • No way! Actually, since average people have started learning from shows like CSI I think the clearance rate for crimes has gone down. So it doesn't deter them, it just makes them better at it!
  • Well, alot of the stuff on there doesn't really happen. I went to the GBI and saw autopsies, they talked about the crime shows, they said alot of the tests and stuff were tv. Like they said you can't actually pour a mold into a stab wound and get the weapon. But since most people will never talk to an actual CSI, they think it can and, I believe it does deter some, but crime keeps rising and falling.
