Considering the fact that the closest place to call a taxi from is 4 hours away, it would take a rally, really long, loooong time to get one to my front door.

Less than 10 minutes unless the weather is bad and they have a lot of calls.

it takes about twenty minutes. mostly because the cabbie gets the call while he is on a run in progress. he has to drop the passenger, collect the fare, and high ball it to the next fare.
