I immediately heed to caution concerning this topic. One misplaced word or mis-spoken sentence often invites extreme opposition and intolerance. There must be something to be said of the fact that, even though one does not outwardly communicate a disliking to a Jew or Jews, it is implied that one deems the Jew or Jews as lesser or worse. Personally to myself, the word Jewish means a religion. Others claim Jews are a race or nationality, in which I find interesting. Also, I think of money when I hear the word Jewish. The word jewel is made of the word Jew, and coincidentally the worlds majority of jewels are owned by Jews, and stored in a specific, Jewish owned bank in Luxomburg (sp). Biblically, the word Jew, means to me "God's chosen people". Even though Jesus Christ was the self-proclaimed King of the Jews, he was crucified by the Jews. Thus the Jewish community, by religion, does not deem him as the Son of God. ( I think to hide the fact that it was the Jews that persecuted Him, and they are simply fed up with being persecuted themselves. Very convenient, no?) As you can tel quite a bit comes to mind when I think of the word Jewish, and if you would like more, feel free to ask, as I have quite a bit more.
