  • soak for an hour in hot soapy water.
  • fill the pyrex with water & a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, enough to cover the egg. put in the microwave until the water boils, let it boil for a min. wash in the normal way. hey presto!
  • If you mean after baking a soufflé, quiche or other dish which has a tendency to stick, I always soaked it in hot water and hand dishwashing liquid. Later - or even the next day - pour-off the water. Most of the egg is left in the bottom of the Pyrex. If you have a garbage disposal, pour everything down the drain. If not, use a paper towel to remove the loosened egg. Then use a "scrubbie" to remove the rest. I don't know if this will work or not with Pyrex, but it might be worth a try: Prep the Pyrex as though you were going to bake a cake - with softened butter/margarine/cooking spray and coat with flour. Then put in the mixture you're going to cook or bake. Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it! VTY, Ron Berue Yes, that is my real last name! Sources: My wonderful family!
