  • my friend lost an eye because of a bungie coord on his roof rack, thats the closest i can think of im afraid
  • I've never heard of that happening to anyone. However, I once had a string snap while I was tuning and it flipped around and jabbed me in the wrist - went in a good half inch!! Hurt like crazy, too!! And another time I was playing, a string broke, and the short piece of the string with the ball end shot out, spun around, and stabbed the bass player in the leg!!
  • I know a guy that plays guitar and messed up my vision somewhat when I accidentally looked right into a laser in the physics lab.
  • I've never heard of this. In fact, yesterday was the first time in my ten years of playing guitar that a snapped string hurt me, and it was only because of how I was holding the neck. And it hurt for just a second. A snapped string rarely will hurt you. Although strings are taut, they won't put out your eye. While I'm on the subject, I have never seen a nylon string break on a classical guitar. And I played the hell out of mine nearly exclusively for two years.
  • yes..... It popped up and hit me in the eye but did not have enough strength to pass my eye lashes. I guess I was lucky.
