I am from Texas and live there now. There is a wide variety of people living in Texas and some are even like those portrayed in the show. Hank Hill is very typical of the almost out of touch with the world religious persons. Very loyal to their place of employment. Peggy Hill is a typical school marm type not only in TX but most every where. The rest of those in the show are quite typical of not just those in TX but also much of the "Bible South"
