  • They should do and dont know
  • Because no one has voted for women president yet, rights are not the issue.
  • they should and besides Hillary has any other female ran for president? and Hillary might portray to some the leadership of women. not that that is true, mind you
  • Women do have equal rights to men. However, that doesn't mean they're treated equally. Men still make more money for doing the same job as a woman. And I'm certain we'll one day have a woman president, although it may still take some time.
  • They have equal rights - or greater rights. There isnt a woman president yet becuase no one likes the women that Run for president*. *STFU HILLARY CLINTON!
  • I assume you're talking about the United States. Women do have equal rights as men. There hasn't been a woman elected President because, simply enough, a woman hasn't been nominated.
  • Well I am not too knowledgeable in the subject of politics, but is Hillary Clinton the first woman that actually attempted to run? Same as Obama, isn't he the first African American candidate? I am sure some women or minorities may be "Persuaded" to not run, but if I am wrong about Clinton and Obama, please correct me.
  • So far I am only aware of one running and she just now lost the primary. If women don't run they can't win nor blame their not winning on oppression. Equal rights? I don't think so - men still have a ways before catching up.
  • i think so, i just think you have to be the right kind of woman to break through sometimes. i think a lot of roles are more likely to attract more men than women, and vice versa. Politics I guess seems to be one of those examples, but here in england we had a female prime minister, just the one so far though, so it can be done.
  • They should but in reality I dont believe they do. There isn't a woman president because we've only had men presidents and alot of people are so used to the idea that changing it would be too much for them
  • There are lots of women who have been President of their country - just not in the US, where none has ever been nominated. Look at Ireland for at least two great examples. Closer by, don't forget that Canada had a female Prime Minister. So don't believe that "it only can happen in Europe." lol
  • Isn't Angelia Merkel a president?
  • Yes overall men and women have the same rights... that comes with being human, not also way treated the same way mind... but that works both ways.
  • Few if any women want to be President. Of the 20-30 serious candidates, 1 was a woman. How do women expect to become President if none of them ever run? 1 out of 30 won't get them there.
  • well there are a few reasons and i think there shit but ok 1. men think it is competitive for a women to do a man's job both sexually and economenely 2. men can be so full of themself like thy get biggr musles than women ect... 3. when jesus chose the 12 aphosoles they were belivebly un marrien and in defanite men though in one of the scriptures jesus healed peter's mother-in-law and none had children
  • I actually don't believe in the word "rights" in the way you use it. No one has any rights. We have abilities. . I may feel I have the right to give birth - but as a man I'm just plain out of luck in that department. . As to president - we haven't got one because none have run. Can't get elected if she don't run. +5
  • Who knows...maybe Mrs. Palin might be the one, eh??
  • Well, on the surface, they do have the same rights, but de facto they may not. I know for a fact that women have much more lenient dress code. Granted this is not an actual law. I can't wear sandals to church, but I see women who do every sunday. As far as a woman president, there has only been one woman who is widely enough known to have even popped up on the ballot, and you either hate Hillary or you love her. Its only a matter of time, we just need some capable women who don't get such a polar response to make the attempt.
  • Across the board, no. In some of the highest-ranked countries on the Human Development Index, maybe. The gap is pretty thin in places like Iceland and Norway. Otherwise, no. There are plenty of presidents in the present and the past who are women, but the United States hasn't seen one yet because wealth means power in America, and American men have always been on average much wealthier than American women.
  • The US has more of a gender gap than some other nations, so no female candidate has launched a strong enough campaign...
  • Women have more rights than men. There will be a woman president when the best, most popular candidate is a woman, which means more than one woman has to run.
