I'd say one in which you are MOSTLY communicating by phone/email. For some people that may be states away, for others maybe 2 hours away.

With disposable income & low cost flying available for many persons. To me a long distance Relationship is when you can't spent at least 4 days week with that person regardless of location, although inter-continental would be very challenging! :)

I think a long distance relationship can be very stressful at times. Sometimes even if two people are living in the same town it can feel distant. But I think true out of state relationships are very hard.
