  • Cultural tradition in her society.
  • I don't know. I still find it freaking weird.
  • Many reasons, really. Health issues, cultural, love. A woman could love her husband enough to let him love another as well. A woman could also have health problems where another wife would essentially help both her and the husband out.
  • Maybe she would like to have more than one husband?
  • '
  • Could also be that she luvs her sister wife/wives a lot. ;-)
  • Because she likes it......
  • In this question is the common misconception of polygamy. When most people think of polygamy, they perceive 1 man with multiples wives, whereas actually there are many cultures where just the reverse is true. One must remember Polygamy is an all-inclusive term, referring to either gender. Polygyny: 1 Husband, multiple wives. Polyandry: 1 Wife, multiple husbands. My guess as to why a woman in particular would be party to a polygamist relationship is as good as anyones. However, I believe we can all come to the consensus that whomever while in a relationship is willing to permit polygamy must either be fond of the person(s) entering into their relationship, or has enough self-esteem, self-confidence, & selflessness, to welcome others into their relationship. Such people lack the insecurity & negative qualities that are prevalent among so many people. They know one of the ultimate truths; Love is not Possession.
  • It's natural for some people.
  • some women like a challenge.
  • Polygamy is mainly a religious issue, and religion can do strange things to people.
  • It's not a matter of allow, it's a matter of participation. Polygamy is not done TO you, it's something that's natural to many people. Because of intolerance and prejudice, many people are forced to suppress it.
  • Because she wants more than one husband, or wants to share a husband - or both!
  • no self esteem, or she was raised in a polygamy compound and doesnt know that she has better options
  • Allow is not the operative word here.
  • Because she wants two husbands perhaps. Polygamy is not only multiple wives, it can be multiple husbands. Plural marriage is the natural state for some people, which is why infidelity is so common. Some people struggle to be with just one person, but try to force it, just like forcing a homosexual to be married to an opposite sex person. It doesn't work for long.
