  • They are afraid of this happening
  • Here's a dozen reasons for you - 1) Tired of the bar scene. 2) Too many bad blind dates 3) No one they're interested in where they work or visit. 4) No available singles where they work or visit. 5) No place nearby to meet partners. 6) Fear of rejection when approaching others in person. 7) Experienced getting locked into relationships before getting to know enough about others in previous relationships. 8) Trying to locate others for 'discrete' relationship outside of existing relationship. 9) Believe it's modern method of meeting, as we live in age of the internet. 10) Easier to share and talk and tell inner feelings and secrets when anonymous. The feeling is that you can get to know someone more quickly, deeply, and intimately, which people hope will translate into a relationship with a more meaningful connection. 11) Easier to end relationship if one decides the other person isn't what they're looking for. 12) Cyber-sex. • Is this about romantic liaisons or friendships as well? I think it is unavoidable..if you are here often enough you begin to hang out with certain people that you seem to "click" with or "get"..you establish a history with them, you laugh with them, sometimes you cry with them..so you make friends. I like the internet because if you are totally honest and your friends are totally honest, you focus on the important things and not the superficial things that face-to-face meetings might bring with them. Age, appearance, social status, money in the bank..none of that matters in the cyber world..sometimes in the real world one or all of those things might get in the way! About romantic liaisons..I think they're very dicey. I would not be interested since I'm taken..I don't think I'd be interested if I weren't taken..too scary! :)
  • I think its great in some senses, the person can lie, and act like somebody else, but if there being truthful you get an isight into the real personality of the person. I mean you dont have to be embarissed, even disabled people have found partners because the internet is all about personality, your truly see whats on the inside instead of the looks.
