Right side as in the steering wheel is on the right of the car? Like in the UK? If that's what you mean I consider the left most lane to be the 'slow lane'

I am in KC MO US and I consider it the passing lane, get in it pass then get out.... so many people dont seem to understand that
-
Crap, I can't correct the question any more but I meant for countries in which the driver/steering wheel sit on the left side of the vehicle.

I consider it a "passing lane", but in areas/times where the amount of traffic is high, like Los Angeles freeways, it has to used as a driving lane most of the day.

When driving all slower traffic keeps to the right, so no matter what lane you are in if some one is behind you and wants to pass then move to the right. That said if you are in the far right lane, yielding the right of way for some one behind you is not required. This is how it is supposed to be, but everyone thinks the lane belongs to them, therefore we have road rage, accidents and traffic. Sharing the road seems to be a foreign concept to most here in the U.S.
