yes. they acknowledged they were wrong and were apologizing, its just common courtesy.

Either that or simply acknowledge them in some way.

If it was a truely forgivable mistake, sure. When the person is on a cell phone going too fast and does a last minute lane change, nearly running me off the road and then waves apologeticaly, not so much. Then they get the stupid look and if they could read my mind they would hear me asking why they're still in the gene pool.

People here don't apologize... it's always the other person's fault... we wave, but normally with one finger in particular.

I wave, give them a fake smile and call them a jackass under my breath.
