Well when I was a kid, I suppose that my mother always made me eventually reassemble the couch forts that I made. I loved it. I would use an afghan and use that for the roof and the pads would form a wall.

I can tell you the first aspect of my brother-in-laws first couch. He took it from a dumpster. He had orange crates for side tables. Went to visit him. sat on his "new" couch and sank all the way down to the floor. Sent him my medical bill for an injured back.

The couch was wonderful as a couch. It was one my mother passed on to us. But it was a convertible sofa and the bed in it was a torture rack

We rented a furnished apartment that came with a couch. It was orange which was its worst feature.

It was covered with Naugahyde, not very comfortable.
