Has anyone filled up a 160 gb ipod with quality music how many songs does it hold and how many days would it take to listen to the whole lot

9000 isn't very much - you must be using oversized MP3s or Lossless files (which are completely pointless on what is essentially a "Walkman" of the digital age). If you use Apple 128 AAC which is the default encoding, you can easily fit more. I have about 20,000 songs on my 80gb and it has a little room left. So figure closer to 40,000 songs on a 160gb iPod.
