Do you lose weight faster by carrying weights while running?

    Potentially, you could.

    Carrying extra weight means your body would have to worker harder to travel the same distance in the same amount of time as without the weights. This extra effort could result in more calories burned and subsequently loss of fat tissue faster.

    In addition, the extra effort could result in more muscle tissue growth. The more muscle tissue you have, the higher your metabolic rate is and the more calories (and subsequently fat) are burned at rest. at the same time, muscle tissue does have weight, so an increase in muscle tissue could affect your net weight loss.

    In summary, it is POSSIBLE that carrying weights COULD help you lose weight faster.
