    Just about anywhere in the midwest, because no one wants to live here. LOL We do have lower rents and housing prices unless you live in a large metropolitan area. The larger the population of an area is the higher the rent is. Des Moines, Iowa was just rated in the top 5 Cities to live in with the best socio-economic benefits, but 25 miles outside of there the rent drops dramatically. Rent here in Illinois runs about $550 to $600 a month for a resonable home. You can buy a great home for under $200,000.
