  • I personaly like Yamahas. They are top quality and very sturdy. My good trumpet is a Yamaha and I've played it for 6 years. Granted it has been bent and dented and so on, but if you take care of it, then it will be a good instrument to play.
  • I have a Yamaha; they are very good in weight and are easier to play, but if you are looking for a trumpet for jazz or higher quality in sound then go for a Bach. Although the Bach brand is extremely expensive, they do help enormously with trying to pitch high notes and/or special effect with your mouth. Just a hint: Yamaha mouthpieces are actaully dreadful, so definately try to purchase a different brand for them! (Bach happen to be also very good in that area)
