depends on 1) the stipulation of the contract, 2) the disposition of the management if you're ever in that store again, you'll more than likely be arrested depending on what the paper said, they've got an admission of guilt from you

The paper I signed just simply stated what would happen to me if I entered the store again.. I was more concerned with fines. Nothing was said about me having to go to court or civil fines.. I was just wondering if I should expect a letter or fine in the mail? I didn't have to sign any forms about a civil demand but I have looked over a few other people's questions and they've mentioned it.. However it was never mentioned to me. Should I worry more than I am?

basically you'll never be able to work at wal-mart. i had the same thing happen to me at a different chain.

You are LUCKY

I am facing the same situation. I paid $300 after receiving the demand letter. Now I am wondering if they will charge me for the criminal charges
-
Most likely not! It is very costly to take into court!

It sounds like you signed a trespass admonition. Essentially, Walmart doesn't want you back. If you go onto Walmart property, you can be arrested and charged with trespassing. Many stores will opt for the no-trespass for low-level thefts instead of calling the police and referring the matter for criminal prosecution. Other stores have a zero tolerance policy and will refer everything, no matter how low the theft amount, to the police and prosecutor. It sounds like you got off lucky. Count your blessings, stay away from Walmart and don't steal. You'll be fine.
