I have a drug problem. I am getting older and addicted to adrenalin. Found the easiest way to get my adrenaline fix is on my bike. The high from the rush is unbelievable. Bikers know why dogs hang their heads out of car windows.

My step-dad got my first one. It is just plain fun to ride. It makes me feel like a kid, even if I'm not hauling ass. Women give me more attention on it too.

I ride nearly every day here in northeast MA. I started riding dirt bikes when I was 8 - too short to touch the ground with either foot on a Suzuki 185... a long time ago. I've got 117,000 miles on my 2000 BMW R1100R. This is the first winter I've put knobby tires on it, and installed snow studs, and man do they work great. It's opened up a few more snow days for me. I've got nearly 3000 miles on them since the second week of December. What do I like about it? I like to ride. I need to ride. It's in my blood. Obsession maybe? Compulsion? I only feel normal with the engine between my knees and and bars in my hands.

I got into riding because my friends were having all this fun and telling me all these great stories and I wanted to join them. It's great and a lot more fun than driving a car!! (click to expand)
