Pai Gow is actually an ancient game that has been played in Asia for centuries. Translated into English, it means, "to make 9." If you know how to play, these are the rankings: PAI GOW POKER RANKINGS Second High Hand (Two-card Hand) One pair High Card High Hand (Five-Card Hand) Five Aces Royal Flush Straight Flush * Four of a Kind Full House Flush Straight ** Three of a Kind Two Pair One Pair High Card *A, 2, 3, 4, 5 is the lowest Straight Flush. **A, 2, 3, 4, 5 is the lowest Straight.

To elaborate on the previous answer.. You are dealt 7 cards from a 53 card deck (standard 52 card deck + 1 Joker). You then create 2 hands for yourself. A 2 card (Lo) hand, and a 5 card (Hi) hand. The Hi hand must be a higher poker ranking then the Lo hand. In order to win, your Lo hand must be a higher poker ranking than the Banker's (Usually the House) Lo hand, and your Hi hand must be a higher poker ranking than the Banker's Hi hand. If you win the Lo hand but not the Hi hand, or vice versa, you will push. If you lose both hands, you lose. Seems like you have a 50/50 chance? Because of this, the house takes a 5% commission of of all wins, and Ties or copy hands (When your 2 card Lo hand and/or 5 card Hi hand is identical to the Bankers') go to the Banker. In most Cardrooms and Casinos, A 2 3 4 5 is the 2nd highest straight, or straight flush.
