My kids were teens back in the late 70's and 80's and that is all they used for pimples. We swore by it. It draws the pimple out. Every medicine cabinet had a tube or two. It was used on burns, scrapes as well as drawing out boils and pimples. If a kid got a scratch they ran for the Itthyoil as they called it and it doesn't burn like iodine did. I still have a tube in my medicine cabinet that expired in 1989. I came across this site because my daughter who is now 43 just called me to ask me the name of it as her teens are now getting pimples. :) I was amazed to see that it is still avaliable. I tried to find some Mandel Solution recently and was told it was no more. I asked my doctor who is about to retire at the age of 70 and he said they did away with Mandel Solution because it was too good and healing. People used it for everything besides throat mop rather than going to the doctors. This is not a recommendation for these two products, just my experiences. Consult your doctor before using other than as directed. Marah
