No. The tradition belongs to the UK and Canada. It has no meaning in the USA. And most of the US seems to have 24th of December off.

definitly. comparitively speaking, the usa has the fewest holidays of all the countrys inthe world. its no wonder folks are so stressed out.

According to Google, it should be called St. Stephen's day. Do you think the government is going to institute ANOTHER religious holiday? If it's not in the name of a religious holiday, then it'll be just Boxing Day, a made-up, moveable, fake holiday for the sake of public employees getting paid for not working. I'll pass either way.
