  • I nose around their profile. I never just accept a request.
  • I look at the ones I don't know, just to see why they would want to add me. If I have never seen them before then I will check them out to see if we are compatible enough to be "friend". Ppl I see all the time around and know their attitudes and beliefs then I have already looked at their profiles so I will just add them.;)
  • I nose around. I don't accept requests from people who haven't answered or commented something of mine.
  • If I don't recognize the screen name, I "nose into" their profile a bit. I don't need any MORE cyberstalkers. lol
  • Check profile first.
  • I usually check it out before I add them. If I havn't really talked to them through comments, I don't usually add them.
  • Check on it.
  • I make sure it is someone that I've seen around AB commenting on many of the same questions that I have commented on. Then I check their profile and will usually add.
  • If I've already had some enjoyable interactions with somebody and then they send a friend request I hit the Accept button mucho pronto! If I've had no interaction with them then I go all Sherlock on their profile. :p
  • check it
  • I always check em out but if I get into a good conversation with someone than I will ask request them to be my friend
  • Unless I know them already, I have a look around their profile. There are some people (nowhere near the majority) who seem to try to add high profile people or everyone who is active at the time. I usually tell those. Sometimes I will tell someone, in a comment thread, that I have to know them a bit better.
  • If it's someone I've interacted with a lot and know pretty well, I add them right away. If it's someone I don't know, I do take a look at their profile and friend list. If it's someone I have never seen before, I do not add them. I've had too many issues with trolls/clones. I state as much in my own profile.
  • Only if we have interacted with them in the past "PLUS" we only accept the best looking people in AB! just ask any of our Peeps!!
  • I generally add them straight away. I figure, if they want to review my q/a, it will make it easier for them to do so. But my own AB routine has nothing to do with these friends. I rarely look at my own friends list. My AB routine is that if I have a few minutes, I sign onto AB and then: 1) check my own feedback and 2) check new questions and see if there are any I want to respond to. Every now and then, I delve back into old questions that have not been answered to see if there are any oldies but goodies. And then every now and then I see that someone has spent a lot of time responding to my questions. Then I go and respond to them, until I am out of points. Friends list, in my humble opinion, is just cause for creating cliques.
  • Well I've only added, been added by people I've conversed with, so I don't really need to look around. Plus, I have less than 10 friends, so it's not much of an issue for me.
