They have the bacteria salmonella in their stomachs. It is a bacteria used to digest their food. Humans have E. Coli in our bodies to aide in digestion. It is only when we catch the 0157 form that we are affected. Same goes for the iguanas. You can catch salmonella from them if you are not careful.
