I think that I would have to agree. Yahoo's format encourages people to answer questions whether they really have anything to add or not and there is no negative consequence inane answers. The result is that most questions get a lot of useless answers. AB's system penalizes users who post answer that don't have any substance to them. So, the answers here tend to be much better thought out. (I may not agree with many of them, but they are well thought out.) Additionally, YA is not very well organized. This makes it harder to find information on the topics that interest the users. I definitely prefer the hierarchical structure of AB better. ************** "ptrask: Damn Glenn - I can't believe someone rated you down on this answer!" I think that someone out there has a vendetta against me. I keep getting my answer rated as spam/offenisve. The coward who is doing it doesn't even have the guts to explain his/herself by leaving a comment.

I have a few unanswered questions HERE. I thought they weren't answered because no one was interested in answering them.

to be honest i asked a question about 5 days ago and i got the answer yesterday and i had about 6 different answers so i didn't know who to believe

It's easier to navigate Yahoo Answers, but they are ruled by an evil hamster! Don't get me going about their suspension policy, they like to suspend you but not tell you why. Makes sense doesn't it? I like the AB format better, the fact that you can comment on others' answers and have a side debate going makes it more likely to get a correct answer. I don't know why people answer questions they know nothing about, it happens at both places! AB has a better system for reputation.

AB has a way better community of friends than Y! Answers.

i like the layout way more on answerbag, it also has a more mature feel to it.. i feel like a toddler using yahoo. i think it has to do with their color scheme and no one has profile pix on their.

I am the ruler of Yahoo answers that been plunder answers for ages(but for a good cause). These were the rules, but please come back I have laid it easier now. I am one of the Yahoo Policemen helping to keep Yahoo a better place for everyone. I am not trying to troll Yahoo. I am trying to improve the standards of Yahoo. I honestly do not report on bias or to hurt someone. I follow these standards which are all Yahoo guidelines. 1. Inappropriate question which I list as INP. 2. Profanity 3. Sexual content 4. Swearing(Only if it is being used as an insult or in excess.) 5. Violence or images with bad depicts or sexuality. 6. Someone asks for contact(I usually leave a comment instead or it may be better to email the person.) 7. Chatting(This of little concern because it is not really a problem.) 8. Rants(eiwbfiuibfiefbibifbfeb) 9. A question that is (clearly) not a question. 10. Repeat posts 11. Posting in too many capital letters. 12. Off topic post 13. A person offers points. I usually do not report: 1. Long posts 2. Religious posts 3. Poems 4. Personal posts 5. Political posts 6. "Am I pretty" questions get deleted (if they have sexual profanity) or have appeared before. Please note: There can be many other reasons why. 7. A person may have a second account.(People usually start second accounts because of computer errors.) Please try to follow these guidelines.
