good question! meanness, jealousy, greedy, she should be content withjust spending a day with you rather than you having to give her expensive gifts and going to fancy restaurants.

Sometimes, it's not so easy to pinpoint when a person is being shitty. It can be body language ( a certain look or face they make). It can be very subtly implied in the things they say, they don't come right out and say it. It can be in their actions (such as "accidentally" dropping something of yours in the mud). They stab you in back with a look of concern on their face and say its for your own good. The best book on this is Nasty People, by Jay Carter. Seriously, if you can't buy the book (of which used copies are so cheap on Amazon), then go to your local library and check it out. Nasty People tells it all in a short, clear little book, only 86 or so pages: How to first spot and then deal with, in the right way, the moral and practical way, the way that makes the most sense, how to deal with these people.
