Hosing to help do a quick cool, hot walking to help them dry and keep the muscles from tightening, a rub down with towles and linament with very small amounts of water till the horse is back to normal temprature. It takes for ever. You just have to walk and walk in circles for about an hour.

Walking a horse after a race or workout to cool it down is the 1st thing they do. They also brush them down.
