When you do something you say you are going to do, and you are halfa--ed about it, is that acceptable?

I don't find it acceptable in myself to do things halfheartedly.

If I'm doing it for myself and I do a half-as*** job, it's no one else's business to judge whether or not it is acceptable..but, if I have committed to do something with or for another, then I am obligated to do the best I can. :) Happy Sunday! :)If I do the best I can, and it ends up half-as***, well, what can I say? :(
