  • You're kidding? Right? If not, drain the old oil out by removing the bolt at the bottom of the oil pan. (That's the big bulge underneath thats connecect to the engine, NOT the transmission.) Next, unscrew the oil filter and let the oil drain from it connection point. When your engine quits draining oil, replace the bolt in the oil pan and put a NEW oil filter on. Hand tighten the filter and then give a quarter turn with an oil filter socket or band wrench. Check your owners manual to see just how much oil your particular engine holds and put that much fresh oil back in it, using the oil filler tube marked as such under the hood. Now start up your truck, making sure you have your phone on hand just in case you really screwed this up.
