I remember a pitcher with only one hand. He would put his glove right over his stump. He'd kinda chuck it at grounders to stop them. I can't remember his name, though.

There was a guy in the 1940's, an outfielder named Pete Gray. He was not a great hitter but a great fielder with speed. He was said to have tohe ability to transfer the ball from glove to his hand to throw very quickly.
