The Seven Samurai Yojimbo Sanjuro Ran Ok, I am an Akira Kurosawa and Toshiro Mifune fan. The first three are my favorites but Ran was also good. :) Shogun was also good (the television series). I saw a few years ago a good movie on DVD that was a feature film. I believe it was based on Shogun but I do not know the name.

I know some critics didn't like it, but I really like "The Last Samurai" starring Tom Cruise, and Ken Watanabe. And you can't go wrong with the Kurosawa/Mifune classics that Arisztid listed above.

Try out the ''Lone Wolf and Cub'' movies. The stories might be typical samurai stuff but the sword fights are something else entirely. EDIT I see you're familiar with those already, as well as Zatoichi which is another one of my favourites. Well, that's the only ones I know about. XD
