Second, she's complaining about how she isn't being given more money (read: "handouts") so she can get more gas at a time. Stuff like this used to bother me. Yeah the chick is totally useless and all. But this is a drop in the ocean compared to how much we are being ripped off by the rich and powerful. Welfare from the state doesn`t add up to a hill of beans compared to how much the rich get away with. The top rich people in the country pay zero tax.

It's actually an example of what happens when people are dependent on the gov't. No responsibility for their actions, no impetus to keep a family together because the gov't replaces the breadwinner, thus, broken family and an ever increasing demand on taxpayer dollars.

I think someone posted this poking fun at the welfare system. I have a hard time believing it is real. But I do agree with what your friend said as this seems to be the mindset of some Americans. People like that scare me, and voting in a socialist scares me even more as it will enable these people more.

Big Daddy, this person is not who she is claiming to be. First, you don't get one WIC check. You get quite a few and they give you 3 months at a time so they don't get over booked with appointments. Second, I have received WIC and never did I see a man working for the WIC office. It's usually women because they need to answer questions regarding breastfeeding. Three, I don't think a LL is allowed to raise rent on a Section 8 housing without approval of Section 8. Just three things that prove to me this post is BS.

I think the worse case I ever saw was a single woman with several kids who got a job at the fast food restaurant that I am a manager at. She got the job because the gov't told her she needed to work. Whenever she was scheduled to come in, she would pull a wad of cash - $100 bills and a few $20 bills- out and pay someone else to work for her. So not only did she have enough money to pay someone else to work, she also could afford not to work...I would have to assume she was doing something illegal.

WIC, is not a check it is a voucher for food & nothing else(no money or gas) maybe I misunderstood her answer(or his, does seem a lil far fetched) but I do think this could have some truth to it after reading an article a few months back from a colored woman in New Orleans that was upset because she had to live in her government housing apt that had wall to wall carpet except for the hard wood laquar floors in her living room & her huge big screen tv & she's never worked a day nor has anyone in her family & she says " I am a poor black woman I deserve all my benefits & should get more" because the gov. owes me & my family for the hardship they brought on us. But talks about her checks & other free benefits saying you just can't live comfortably on what the state gives you. If I can find the article I'll ad the link. But some people do have this 'you owe me' attitude while the rest of us believe you work for what you get & try to get by on.
