Can someone please explain to me the technical side of the hdmi cable, in paticular answering the following questions:Does the hdmi cable make your tv function better in terms of better visual and audio quality?can it connect more than1 external component

if you have a TV that is high def...and i mean 1080i or 1080p...then spend the money...sound and picture will be much better...but if you are on a standard definition TV or just a 720, don't waste your money
