I think it largely depends if Democracy takes over in the Middle East, if so I think it will be favorable, if not it won't.
-
That will depend upon whether Islam is able to take over the world or not.

Future generations SHOULD note that this president did what he said he'd do. Whatever you may personally think of him, he's at least a trustworthy individual.
-
as a butcher who never managed to have a peaceful agreement with the middle east, and as one of the people who bears the greatest responsibility for screwing the global environment up so much. Also for how he ignored the environment in Alaska and other places and chose to focus on profit through oil instead. When the global warming and its consequences are obvious to everyone and its too late to stop it, I think he'll be remembered

Assuming the American people do not take up pitch forks, torches and axes and try to drive the Bush and Cheney 'crime families' into the sea, then undoubtedly history will not be very kind to the creepy, evil overlord Cheney and his wannabe cowboy puppet Bush. Chances are Cheney and Rove will be portrayed as the dastardly and evil Rasputin-like manipulators that they are, and Bush will be pitied if not despised by the children of the generations whose lives have been wrecked by this failed administration. History will not forgive in the same way the impotent White House Press corps fawned over Bush and forgave every incompetence. George Walker Bush, the man who publicly displayed his inability to connect rhetoric with reality, will soon be reduced to the cipher he once was, left to spend the rest of his life trying to salvage a legacy of shame and deceit -- In a just world he would be put on trial, if not by the International Criminal Court of Justice then by the U.S. Congress -- He would be forced to face up to his lies and wars of aggression. It is the end of the road for George Walker Bush -- The world takes less and less notice of him -- He strutted and swaggered across the stage, he bellowed and raged, he plundered and murdered; and now he wants to be anointed as a peacemaker. His presidency, like his life, has been a tragic waste. Future generations will remember George W. Bush: as the president who abandoned America's traditional concepts of justice and human rights, choosing instead a program of state-sponsored kidnapping, arbitrary detention and abusive interrogation technique -- Future generations will remember this whole misguided administration for deciding to wage the fight against terrorism in a manner that not only mocks America's values but also draws new recruits to the anti-American cause.

Hopefully as the lying cheating bastard that he is... history will not be kind, he invaded a country for no reason besided oil and showed his ignorance publicly and repeatedly... he has guantanamo bay, and the lives of innocent Iraqis on his conscience (such as it is.) He was not even properly elected first time round and has done nothing to aid the rest of the world in cutting down pollution... It also seemed to take him quite a while to respond to tragedies that befell the USA. Shame on him. But, hey, what do I know, I'm not American.
-
probably a very distorted one. i'm sure those who lived during nixon sees the whole thing differently than those who were just taught about it.
-
I'm not sure, but I'd be worried so much if I were him.
-
None, he will be forgotten

How long have you got? and others have run down a lot of the list already. He's the president who should have never been in the first place, if the election had been handled properly. He's the president who is the worst public speaker we've ever heard. He panders to the rich and disregards the poor. He lied so he could invade a country. He pushed to amend the constition with legal discrimination. His policies have tarnished the American reputation and lost the respect of many others. He refuses to admit there's a recession even as gas is triple what it was when he took office, food and retail is higher, people are giving up luxuries and vacations because we've not enough money left. But then, has he ever dealt with the scrimping we do? Try getting by on what we make with the cost of everything increasing faster than our salaries.

I hope they will remember him for what he was: a mini tyrant who did everything he could to amass power into his own hands who used that to launch an idiotic war, further enrich the wealthiest at the expense of those future generations, and deeply damaged the reputation of the US abroad for probably a very long time. I'm afraid the Republican spin machine will manage to pull A Regan on him and plant the memory of a great defender of American values despite the rest of the world standing against him and the lowest approval ratings of his own subjects of any president.
