  • Check out http://www.autozone.com They offer free online repair guide on their homepage and will likely have instructions, and maybe even a diagram or photo for your Ranger.
  • Auto Zone wasn't a lot of help... unless you want a detailed descritpyion of how to drop your fuel take or undertake a mind-numbing analysis of the computerized aspect of the fueling system. http://www.2carpros.com/makes/ford/ranger.htm I found more helpful for Ranger problem discussions. http://www.2carpros.com/how_to/how_to_change_fuel_filter.htm has some helpful photos. Note: If Filter is OEM, you'll need a special tool for the connection between filter and engine. (Thank you, FORD)
  • It's on the driver side frame rail. The connectors are simple push lock quick connects. Just un-snap them and pop the filter out of the bracket.
