oo been a while since i read it but...jonah (jonas?) leaves..in the distance he hears music...ends on a hopeful note and you assume the people back home are dealing with all the memories thrown onto them

i thought all that color noise whatever he hears is him leaving his world and going into our world, with the details and all.

god havrnt read that book 4 3 years, hmmm doesnt jonah run away with the baby, and thats all i remember and he goes into the otuside world, i think

There's a sequel to the book... and as far as I know, he finds a village unaffected by sameness.
