Illegal? I wouldn't think so. Frowned upon? I'd say yeah. Either way, I know plenty who do...Not constantly. But sometimes. To make a point.

It wasn't illegal where I taught, but it was against county policy. It would only be illegal if the teacher encouraged or taught the sear words or encouraged their use.

I would say it is not illegal,and could not be so for their is no definite designation of what a swear word is.In some areas a swear word is common,thus not looked upon as a swear word.In other places it is un-liked.But there is no blanket rule.
