Seriously? Move to the country and be forced to speak it, it`s the only real way.

Completely immersing yourself in that language. Surround yourself with people who speak that language and completely stop talking English (or whatever your native tongue happens to be). Obviously, it would be ideal if you could travel to that country and live in the culture while learning your language. You must study your rear-end off every day, at least an hour. Ask those around you to correct you when you speak incorrectly. Don't get too discouraged. You will be speaking fluently in about 6-8 months.

It DOES seem strange that we seem to learn it so easily as children, but as adults, it's acquired quite slowly!

The easiest way is to be around with the people whose language you want to learn. When one is forced to speak a language then the communicative skills in that language develop which in turn can mean fluency. The brain also gets adapted to the various intricacies in the language viz. acsent, use , and expressing emotions through language.
so what can be said is that learn the basics and be there in the situation tackling the communication difficulties

Well, the main thing that helped me learn German more efficiently, say your trying to learn how to say a sentence in Italian, you might compare whatever the subject of the sentence is, to whatever would come to mind during the process. Repeat this over and over.
Another thing, do not try to hard. You'll end up frustrating yourself and considering the option of giving up. Take your time and BREATHE! Trust me, I I could be as malleable as I was when I was first learning English, Than I would have had a smooth time learning German.

OH! And have fun with it too!

    Hope I helped!

Its not that easy any way! Based thru my experience I lived and work in Japan for almost 16 years, my first year of stay was difficult bec. It will come first with hearing and understanding the message. While understanding the message the difficult part is to speak out the words answering exactly the message. I did memorized many words and start constructing grammars. I went to attend nippongo language class to help me better. After 3years I begun conversing like elementary level. As many years passed by I become more conversant at a fluent level. After that I moved again to Spain learning new language, castellano is easy compared to that of nippongo my level now in speaking castellano is secondary nivel and I am doing my best to have the superior nivel to have my DELE.(Diploma Estranjero de Lengua Espanol.
I therefore conclude that it would be easy if you have interest and passion to learn foreign language. さようなら adiós .

    Easy!

The most fun, effective, life changing, long-lasting and BEST way to learn a language is by studying in a foreign country. Trust me, I know. I was hopeless at Spanish when I just studied at evening classes in London but after I completed my study abroad period my level had gone up massively.

I stayed in a great school in Argentina called Expanish - htpp://www.expanish.com

Good luck, it´s a slow but rewarding process....

There is a new, online dictionary, where you can find translations more than 40 languages, or rather there are many pictures, videos, pronunciation samples, which ones can help you to learn languages. An international community is waiting for you, where you can get to know other persons and you can share your knowledge, too.
    You can learn easily!

Make the language part of Your
everyday life. To the point where
    You replace everything around You
to be in the language. Read ONLY
books, web pages, watch ONLY movies,
listen ONLY to music in that language.
    .
You can travel to a different
    country for this, though
    I believe mostly talking to
    native speakers while being
at the beginning of Your road
    can be more frustrating than
    useful. Though others have
    different opinions. And it
    might depend on Your style
    of learning.
    .
My advice is also to keep away
from school books, cause they are
unreal. It's better to build only
    on foreign newspapers, books that
    native speakers would read.
It doesn't matter if You don't
    understand anything. You will
in time and at least You realize,
that You're on Your way towards
the real language, not the retarded
    textbook version.
    .
    Skim through dictionaries, thesauruses,
    picture dictionaries. Browse through
    the grammar. Learn the correct
    pronunciation. (which I believe to
be - contrary to what many believe -
one of the most important and basic
    skills to posess)
I also believe learning more about
Your own language can make You better
    in learning other ones.
    .
And I think the most important thing
is You need to search for answers on
the language according to what You're
interested in right now... and have
    pleasure in learning.
    .
If You don't like learning and don't
feel the real desire to learn the
language - just doing it for some
    superficial reason or because
someone makes You do it - Your
progress will be slow and frustrating.

i was forced to speak ingles in my house growing up. i started speaking it perfectly around 12, but outside the house in school n stuff we spoke spanish and nothing but. i also listened to alot of english music. so depending on what language your learning you should go listen to the music of that culture. if your trying to speak spanish i would recomend dyablo, orishas, polo urias, arley perez, and akwid.
