    I don't have just one favourite, but here is one of them:

    "If it's stupid but it works, it's not stupid."

    and

    "You can run, but you will only die tired!"

    The first two I absolutely love (They are so true, and I think apply to me sometimes :D), the 3rd just reminds me of my own weaknesses, so it's a thought always close to my heart heh. :)

    When Arthur and Ford are picked up by the Heart of Gold in Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, they are in a room where very improbable events are occurring, since the Inifinite Improbabillity Drive powers the ship.

    Arthur's legs have drifted apart from him and Ford has turned into a penguin. Having no idea what is going on at all, they are terrified, angry, and can only communicate with an unseen voice that rings out over the intercom system, informing them they are perfectly safe.

    "But that's not the point!" raged Ford. "The point is that I am now a perfectly safe penguin, and my coleague here is rapidly running out of limbs!"

    A seemingly unperturbed Arthur lets him know, as if it's the most normal thing in the world;

    "It's all right, I've got them back now."

    Had me in stitches.

    EDIT

    A couple form an email I received, so quotes but not from any attributable source.

    "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. "

    "Every human being on this earth is born with a tragedy, and it isn't original sin. He's born with the tragedy that he has to grow up. That he has to leave the nest, the security, and go out to do battle. He has to lose everything that is lovely and fight for a new loveliness of his own making, and it's a tragedy. A lot of people don't have the courage to do it."
