"Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen." - Albert Einstein

"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." - Albert Einstein (attributed)

"The significant problems we have cannot be solved at the same level of thinking with which we created them." - Albert Einstein

Why is that sad?
Avatar Popanna May, 06 2009 at 11:05 AM
Because we all give and take.....but few of us give enough....and even fewer of us give generously and freely. That is sad.....it is really too bad more people don't give for the right reasons and more frequently.
Avatar R.I.A.M. Jun, 29 2009 at 02:48 PM
To Popanna, there are many ways to interpret a quote and none of which are wrong if that's the way you took it, however i am inclined to believe that the quote more or less means that our society is compromised of many tyrants (those who take), and freedom lovers (those who give. But in the end, there are not enough people in the world who "give what it takes" to make it a better place.
Although i fear i have just posed a new question to the board. "What does it mean to make the world a better place?"

I don't have just one favourite, but here is one of them:

Everyone has inside of him a piece of good news. The good news is that you don't know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is!

Who would ever think that so much went on in the soul of a young girl?
Anne Frank quote
Avatar singwell-is off researching a lot Mar, 18 2007 at 04:42 AM
I have been through the bookcase and seen the magazine pictures she stuck on the wall...oh, how it made me cry, not only for Anne but for all people who suffer similarly.
Avatar Andariel Jun, 13 2009 at 03:23 PM
Anne Frank was a truly remarkable person.
