Cape cod has some of the most beautiful beaches I have seen in the U.S. but by far the prettiest beach I saw was a pic sweetcakes once posted of a beach not very far from where she lives in Queensland Australia

South pacific. Marshall islands particularly. All the atolls around there.

Long Island, New York & Sanibel, Florida :)

Northern California. As far as scenic beaches go. If you are looking for big sandy beaches for play and surfing, etc., I might go with Florida.

The Caribbean. More specific, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Kitts, the U.S and British Virgin Islands.

The Seychelles have some wonderful beaches. White sand, clear water, tropical temps, and plenty of entertainment along the beaches. This is also the area that the movie stars vacation. They are a few hundred miles off the horn of Africa.

Northern Spain has some lovely beaches, and round the Basque Country going up the southwest coast of France. Santander, Bilbao, Biarritz, Lacanau are all lovely.

Of the places I've been, Venezuela has some of the most beautiful beaches I've seen, and I've been told I haven't even been to the best ones.

For overall variety and choice, you can't be Florida. There may be more unique (like Shell Beach in St. Barts) or more solitary beaches (like Trunk Bay in in the USVI's), but Florida has the most options.

I've been to the French Riviera, all over the Caribbean, Southern California, and South Florida. I can say that, if you are just looking for beaches, Belize wins. If you're going for the people on said beaches, nothing gets close to Miami. Nothing.

I'd have to say the Carribean beaches are the most beautiful. Even though they have become so commercial, there are still undiscovered beaches which give the ultimate relaxation.

I think the best beaches are those that are beautiful and UNCROWDED ! No beach is beautiful is there are 500 people sitting between you and the ocean.
