I would ignore it if they could get to the door. I have my dogs play pen at the front door and people tend to be scared of them. They are actually very friendly but I don't tell strangers that.

What time are you knocking. if its early in the afternoon i might think your jehova witness so i'll ignore you. but later around eleven i just might let you in!:)

I freely admit right now that I never answer the door. Only if you have three forms of identification, look very kind, are wearing a bright t-shirt with nice, friendly letters saying 'don't worries, I'm cool' and a big smile on your face I might stand in front of the door and talk to you through it. Sorry!

If i'm not expecting someone i don't answer the door. You can't be too careful....

You can't even get to my front door. I have a large locked gate in the way with a sign on it that says "I do not answer the door. If you want to talk to anyone here, call (phone #) - Leave packages under the gate". My dog barks whenever anyone comes on the property, and I look out to see who it is. Very few people call the phone # to talk to anyone.

well seeing as both of my roomates are asleep (it's 12:30 at night) and my room's pretty far from the front door...i think you'd be left out there until morning, unless you decided to pound on it as hard as you could...and then i'd get up and go see who was pounding on the door....
