  • I like honey.
  • This reminds me of Schroeder's Cat in Quantum physics. There is a box with a cat inside. Without looking inside, is the cat dead, or is it alive? It is both. The cat is not being observed, [because it is enclosed in the box] so therefore it's existence is a wave, which has many possibilities. If it was seen, then it would be a "particle" that has a definite state of being. There is a really cool video that demonstrates this here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Q4_nl0ICao Is the glass half empty or half full? That depends on the personal circumstance of whoever is observing the glass. +
  • I'm not smart enough to take part in this debate.
  • Eric the half a bee! La dee dee, one two three, Eric the half a bee. A B C D E F G, Eric the half a bee. Is this wretched demi-bee, Half-asleep upon my knee, Some freak from a menagerie? No! It's Eric the half a bee! Fiddle de dum, Fiddle de dee, Eric the half a bee. Ho ho ho, tee hee hee, Eric the half a bee. I love this hive, employee-ee, Bisected accidentally, One summer afternoon by me, I love him carnally.
  • Half a bee, or a person, or any other being, is a bee, a person, or any other being, the fact that is half of something that was complete does not deny that it is the same being, only the circumstance was changed, specifically in this case, the physical integrity, the volume, but is still the same being. The example of the soldier makes sense if you want to be politically correct about it, it is not about how you define it (a person, as opposed to half a person), he IS half a person, whether you call it that or not is irrelevant regarding the original question, of course you are not going to call his legs a person, they were part of a person, and a person can be without its legs, the same way a tree can be without its limbs, it is about the nature of the being, and its nature is being a person, or a bee, or any other being... peace
